Softdawgs: Helping to Keep Bend a Dog-Friendly Place!

Corgie on the Toilet.

Mission

Softdawgs is a volunteer group that was started in Bend in 1998 due to an increase in dog issues in our community and a desire to be proactive about future problems. Softdawgs' mission is to educate dog owners about responsible dog stewardship in order to keep Bend a dog-friendly city, and enhance the human/canine bond through outdoor activities. The volunteer group's goals are to advocate towards a better understanding of dogs, dog training, healthcare and current dog-related conflicts. Softdawgs proactively educates the dog-owning public through monthly meetings, monthly park clean-ups and special events. Softdawgs also participates in a partnership with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
